Connecting AmeriCorps Alums on Capitol Hill

July 24, 2013

Announcing the New AmeriCorps Alumni Capitol Hill NetworkAACHN_03-I!

Over the last 20 years, over 800,000 Americans have served their country in AmeriCorps. Following their term of national service, many have decided to continue to serve in our nation’s policy and political epicenter, Capitol Hill.

That’s why ServiceNation and AmeriCorps Alums are excited to announce the formation of the AmeriCorps Alumni Capitol Hill Network with a goal to Better connect AmeriCorps Alums who work on the Hill with one other and to national service policy.

While we have already identified a small group of AmeriCorps Alums continuing to get things done in Congress, we need your help spreading the word to ensure every AmeriCorps Alum who works on Capitol Hill knows about this opportunity.

Below are three easy ways you can help:

  1. Direct every AmeriCorps Alums you know who works on the Hill to to sign up or find additional information about the network.
  2. Spread the word on Facebook or Twitter
  3. If you work for a service organization, share this announcement with your AmeriCorps Alumni email list, on your next newsletter, or next blog post.

Thank you in advance for your help spreading the word and we will keep you posted on future developments with the AmeriCorps Alumni Capitol Hill Network.

The AmeriCorps Alumni Capitol Hill Network is a joint initiative of ServiceNation and AmeriCorps Alums.  For additional information or questions contact Jerry Saavedra at or Ben Duda at
