AmeriCorps Alums Serve Because…
Have you shared your AmeriCorps service story in the Save Service in America and AmeriCorps Alums’ “I Serve Because…” Video Contest? Did you know you could win a laptop from AmeriCorps Alums if you submit by April 22nd? If you answered “No” to either or both of the previous questions, the time is NOW to submit your personal testimony into the contest!
As AmeriCorps Alums shared in our own video, with National Service on the chopping blocks in Washington, we need Alums to come together to raise their voices to the value of AmeriCorps service and to put a face to what national service looks like in communities across the country. Alumni of AmeriCorps are the BEST advocates for national service and we want to hear why you serve in your life after AmeriCorps. It’s easy to share your story – record using your cellphone, webcam, or camera and submit here to be shared on the official “I Serve Because…” Tumblr page. Once recorded, you can share your video on social media using #IServeBecause to let your networks why you continue to live out a Lifetime of Service.
