#whatshouldwecallme in My Life After AmeriCorps

October 19, 2012

Fact #1 – We all served in AmeriCorps. Fact #2 – Most of us have a great affinity for gif images and blogs like #whatshouldwecallme that help us articulate many life situations with those images. We all may have served in a variety of different programs and organizations, but there are some common experiences we all shared in our life after AmeriCorps.

Here are some of our favorite gif reactions to events during our time as AmeriCorps Alums:

When I completed my AmeriCorps service hours

When I said goodbye to my host organization

When I received my Education Award

When I found out I had to pay taxes for using the Education Award

When I explained my service to people who don’t get it

When I enter into my first job/grad school after AmeriCorps

When I joined my local chapter and met more Alums

When I see freebies, after having served

When I hear about another legislation proposing to cut AmeriCorps and CNCS

When I see new AmeriCorps members serving

When I find out another colleague at my company is also an Alum

When I live out a Lifetime of Service

What are other gif reactions you’d share on your life after AmeriCorps?

Freebies- so true! And Gandalf definitely describes how I feel whenever hearing about cuts to CNCS. These are great.
