Join Us at the 2012 National Conference on Volunteering and Service!

February 8, 2012

A program of Points of Light Institute, National Conference on Volunteering and Service (NCVS) provides attendees with an opportunity to learn, connect and be inspired through a wide range of exciting and informative plenary sessions, workshops, special events, service projects, exhibits, specialized corporate tracks and more.

As the world’s largest gathering of volunteer and service leaders from the nonprofit, corporate and government sectors, all are invited to join us in Chicago. As AmeriCorps Alums and leaders championing a Lifetime of Service, this is an event you do not want to miss!

This year, the Civic Scholars Program is an opportunity for the brightest, most-promising civic entrepreneurs to connect and collaborate for greater community impact. Scholars receive waived Conference registration, direct access to experts such as Craig Newmark and Paul Schmitz, and continuing education opportunities that allow them to bring innovations and new connections to their work as a result of their participation in the program.

This program awards individuals based on merit and replaces our past scholarship-granting process.

Points of Light is looking for 50 individuals with community involvement experience and high potential for future civic engagement. The Conference is central to the program and will be the first convening point and one of the most robust learning opportunities.

Applicants must have an interest in advancing civic engagement, must be actively involved in their communities, and willing to commit to the one-year initiative and participate in all follow-up activities.

Alums, we highly encourage all of you who are interested to apply! Scholarship applications will be accepted until  Feb. 20, 2012, 11:59 p.m. ET. Register now!
