White House Seeks Leaders for White House Internship Program
The White House Internship Program: Summer 2011
The White House Internship Program provides a unique opportunity to gain valuable professional experience and build leadership skills. This hands-on program is designed to mentor and cultivate today’s young leaders, strengthen their understanding of the Executive Office and prepare them for future public service opportunities.
The Summer 2011 White House Internship application will be posted until January 9, 2011. See “Apply Here” for more details.
“This program will mentor and cultivate young leaders of today and tomorrow and I’m proud that they will have this opportunity to serve…
I want to commend all who apply for their desire to help through public service to forge a brighter future for our country.” – President Barack Obama, May 22, 2009
My name is Andrea M. Rouse-Baldwin and I am a Graduate of AmeriCorps NCCC Class V Denver Colorado. I am interested in applying for any upcoming America Serve / AmeriCorps Alums activities.
As a two term AmeriCorps NCCC alum and former White House intern, I highly recommend applying to this experience. I’m certain my first term of AmeriCorps service led to my White House acceptance (even came up in the interview) and I never would have been accepted if I hadn’t applied. 🙂 And my White House internship was in part the reason I returned to AmeriCorps NCCC as a Team Leader afterward. I’ll be writing a few posts about my experience at the White House and my service with NCCC on my website (linked) in the near future. Happy to talk with any fellow alums interested in the process. Good luck!
