It’s AmeriCorps Week and the Lemurs are in the Top 10

May 11, 2010

This is one and frankly he scares me. (Photo credit: Tambako the Jaguar on Flickr)

We can be clever and fun all we want. But the bottom line is, if AmeriCorps Alums is not in the TOP 10 of the Pepsi Refresh project 50K category at the end of May then we get no support for alumni and chapters across the country. Right now we are #31 (And there is a Lemur Center in the top 10… ??? What the heck is a lemur anyway?)

So what can you do? First, vote! www.refresheverything.com/americorpsalums or on Facebook.

Then celebrate AmeriCorps Week at an event near you! Bring a laptop and ask folks there to support us in the Pepsi Project. If you can get 5 (just 5!) new people to commit to voting each day in May, we’ll send you a piece of Alums gear.

And lasty, we are proud to announce the newest member of our voting coalition, AmeriCorps alumni from Habitat for Humanity Charlotte. When you vote please also vote for each member of the Pepsi Refresh National Service Coalition! Our overall success depends on each coalition member voting for the other members of the coalition.

As it stands right now, we have a total of 1,427 pledged daily voters… can you help us crack 2,000?  We already have templates here that are easy to use to encourage your friends to vote!

Now what are you waiting for? Get out there and ‘Get Things Done’!
