It’s AmeriCorps Week!

It’s officially AmeriCorps Week!From May 14th-21st communities all over the country will be taking time to celebrate and reflect on service and the program that has made such a huge impact in the lives of an entire nation and the over 700,000 members who have served. We hope you take some this week to celebrate AmeriCorps through service and fellowship.

In order to make sure you get the most out of AmeriCorps Week we’ve attached some links for you to check out, utilize, and interact with. Want to share your story of service through photo or video? You can submit a video or photo telling your story of service to the AmeriCorps Week web site. If you are more of  a writer than photographer, you can e-mail your story to Jerem Exell at jexell@americorpsalums.org for publishing in the AmeriCorps Alums blog!

Also be sure AmeriCorps Week on twitter @AmeriCorpsWeek as well as AmeriCorps Alums @AmeriCorpsAlums, for updates on helpful information and stories from the service field. Also, if you are tweeting about AmeriCorps Week, don’t forget to use the official AmeriCorps Week hashtag of #ACWeek.

You can also follow the events on Facebook. Check out both the AmeriCorps Week and AmeriCorps Alums facebook pages for updates on local events, opportunities for you to interact on the Wall, and a ton of great pictures and video!
